Tom Wheatley

Tom joined Sequoyah School, as business manager, in July of 2011, and has held similar positions in K-12 independent schools since 2001. In this capacity, Tom oversees non-academic, financial, operational and administrative matters.

Tom began his career in public accounting, with Ersnt & Young, in Washington, DC. He then held progressively more responsible positions in the Hospitality industry, as a Finance Director, with an emphasis on real estate development, lodging and food & beverage, mostly with Marriott and PepsiCo. Before joining independent schools, Tom was CFO for regional public and privately-held hospitality related companies, with annual revenues between $250 – $500 million. Tom has served as a board member on numerous corporate subsidiaries and joint ventures.
