Ronnie Bryan is the lead mathematics program advisor for Sequoyah’s high school program. Since his early years in Knoxville, Tennessee, he has pursued studying and teaching math and science. His interest in understanding the mind led him to earn a bachelors degree in Brain and Cognitive Science from MIT and a PhD in Computation and Neural Systems from Caltech. Ronnie believes that math is a natural language that anyone is capable of developing into a powerful tool for pursuing their passions, and he is excited about encouraging others to see how math interrelates with all aspects of thought and action, from science and engineering to art and philosophy. He has taught throughout his research career, and in recent years, has been dedicated to teaching full-time, from the middle school level through college.
